S. Korean Authorities Censured for Suppressing Reunification Movement Forces
Pyongyang, November 5 (KCNA) -- The Students Meeting of Hanyang University demanding the release of Yun Ki Jin in south Korea released a statement on Nov. 1.

The "government" authorities sentenced Yun Ki Jin, co-chairman of the Solidarity for Democracy, People's Life, Peaceful Reunification and Sovereignty, to prison terms again on charges of the violation of the "Security Law" on Oct. 29, the statement recalled.

It was unreasonable for the authorities to have arrested him again, taking issue with the letters and articles written by him in prison though they went through strict examination, it noted.

Their real intention is, obviously, to openly crack down upon the forces of the progressive and reunification movement, it said, and went on:

Yun is a young man who worked harder for peace, reunification, democracy and people's life than anyone else.

The present regime keen to stay in power is trying hard to divert public criticism of it to the forces of the progressive and reunification movement through brutal suppression by the security organ.

The statement strongly denounced the security, prosecution and judicial authorities for having arrested the patriotic young man to meet their interests.

It urged the abolition of the "Security Law", the evil law dating back to the old era.
