Rodong Sinmun Calls for Putting End to S. Korean Regime's Anachronistic Policy of Confrontation
Pyongyang, November 5 (KCNA) -- The inter-Korean relations can be improved and the peace and reunification of the country achieved only when an end is put to the anachronistic policy of confrontation in south Korea and the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration are implemented.

Rodong Sinmun Monday says this in a bylined article.

The Lee Myung Bak regime's "policy toward the north" has pushed the inter-Korean relations to the worst phase of confrontation, though they had favorably developed, the article notes, and goes on:

The Lee regime advocated "no nukes, opening and 3 000 dollars" as its "policy toward the north" in contravention of the idea of "By our nation itself", denying the north-south declarations. This was a starting point of the collapse of the inter-Korean relations.

The regime foolishly calculated that when it escalates the anti-DPRK confrontation racket in collusion with outside forces, it will be able to achieve its sinister aim.

Prompted by this calculation, it suspended all the dialogues and cooperation undertakings which had been under way during the period of the previous regimes and resorted to "a waiting strategy", steadily deteriorating the inter-Korean relations.

The Lee regime's "policy toward the north" is bringing dark clouds of a nuclear war to hang over the Korean Peninsula and threatening the destiny of the nation hour by hour.

All facts go to clearly prove that its "policy toward the north" is an anachronistic one and a stumbling block lying in the way of national reconciliation and unity and improving the inter-Korean relations.
