Kim Jong Un Visits Ryugyong Health Complex, People's Open-air Ice Rink and Roller-skating Ground Nearing Completion
Pyongyang, November 3 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, went round the Ryugyong Health Complex, the People's Open-air Ice Rink and the Roller-skating Ground nearing completion.

The first leg of his visit was the Ryugyong Health Complex.

He was pleased to see a large lobby decorated with beautiful flowers and fitted with peculiar round benches so the visitors may have pleasant rest.

Saying one should not be complacent about the work for the people, he called for rebuilding the floor better with quality wood.

At a room for curative physical exercise, he examined various gymnastic apparatuses and taught how to install ultraviolet beds provided by the WPK.

He examined the temperature of the water in the tub of public bath with his hand and learned about the operation of the shower sensors.

At the cooling room, he underscored the need to properly keep the temperature of the room so that no one may get a cold.

At the moisture sauna room, he said it is necessary to ensure appropriate temperature and, at the same time, adjust it in such a way as to make it emit steam evenly. He called for properly distributing divans and fully ensuring sanitary environment in the stalactite and pine tree saunas.

At dress depositary, he stressed the need to provide best service to the visitors to the health complex and pay special attention to disinfecting things for bath.

He called for meticulously organizing service at the complex and its operation, noting that when it would be opened, people would like to visit it and would greatly benefit from it in winter.

Saying that he was greatly pleased to visit the complex, he told the officials to hold its opening ceremony so that the people may lead a happy life as creators and enjoyers of socialist culture.

The next leg of his visit was the People's Open-air Ice Rink.

At the ice hall he was pleased to see working people and children skating on the spacious ice rink.

He said with pleasure that as the ice rink is based on cutting-edge technology, there would be unfolded such spectacular scenery in which working people and school youth and children skate in shirts in mid summer.

The ice rink should be available for ordinary working people under any circumstances, he noted.

Learning that the children skating there were aged 3-6, he took them to his arms before having a photo taken with them.

He called for taking measures to provide physical exercise apparatuses as ice rinks and skiing and roller-skating grounds are appearing in different places.

The last leg of his visit was the Roller-skating Ground.

Entering the ground occupying a vast area, he appreciated the construction of a nice-looking gate.

He learned in detail about the perimeter of the main track and operation of the ground, saying many people would visit it as it is located in a good place.

At the skill displaying portion of the ground, he was pleased to see the working people showing high skills by use of varieties of roller-skates.

He repeatedly expressed satisfaction over the construction of the ground, saying he liked it.

He sent thanks to the soldier-builders, highly appreciating its successful construction as intended by the Party.

He showed such loving care for them as promising them to spare time to have a photo taken with them.

He gave important instructions to be carried out to develop sports of the country.

He said that in order to develop sports, it is necessary to steadily seek means and methods suited to the actual conditions of the country on the basis of thorough preparations and develop sports science and put it on a high level, underscoring the need to take measures for the supply of physical exercise apparatuses.

He had a photo taken with working people and children.

He was accompanied by Jang Song Thaek, member of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee and vice-chairman of the NDC, Kim Ki Nam and Choe Thae Bok, members of the Political Bureau and secretaries of the WPK Central Committee, Kim Yang Gon, alternate member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the WPK Central Committee, Ri Yong Su, department director of the WPK Central Committee, and Kim Pyong Ho, Ryang Chong Song and Pak Chun Hong, vice department directors of the WPK Central Committee.
