Chinese Paper Praises Korean Film "The Flower Girl"
Pyongyang, November 2 (KCNA) -- The Chinese paper Jilin Sinmun on Oct. 26 carried an article titled "'The Flower Girl' makes audience tearful."

The paper said that the Korean film "The Flower Girl" which had mesmerized the spectators through the scenes no one can see without tears in the last century reproduced the sea of tears at present.

The film was screened several times during the week of Korean film show in Yanbian, turning the auditorium into the sea of tears, it noted, adding:

A woman residing in Yanji said: I felt tears running down all the time. I saw the film when I was a child, too. I was deeply moved by the painful story and true depiction and could not hold back tears.

Those who watched the film were unanimous in praising it as a masterpiece.

"The Flower Girl" was authored by President Kim Il Sung in 1930.

The work was adapted into a film and opera in the 1970's under the guidance of leader Kim Jong Il.

The film was screened in China in the 1970's.

It evoked lively response at that time.

The film is one of the unforgettable, famous foreign movies for the Chinese people.
