Apple Show Held
Pyongyang, November 1 (KCNA) -- A show took place in Pyongyang on Thursday to taste apples produced at modernized fruit farms in the DPRK this year.

Leader Kim Jong Il made sure in May last year that a competition in apple taste was launched among the fruit farms which turned into young orchards in order to arouse enthusiasm to boost apple production among their working people.

Working people in the field of fruit growing have mass-produced this year delicious and fragrant apples through a dynamic drive to put fruit production on a scientific and modern basis.

The show was held in such a way as to taste apples and appreciate their sweet and sour taste and fragrance.

Presented to it were more than 20 kinds of apples produced at Ryongjon and Toksong Fruit Farms, the Taedonggang Combined Fruit Farm, fruit farms in Kwail County, and Kosan Fruit Farm.
