Rodong Sinmun U.S. Absurd Talk about "Threat" from DPRK Ridiculed
Pyongyang, November 1 (KCNA) -- William Burns, U.S. deputy secretary of State, recently said that "north Korea's nuclear ambition and missile plan" pose a "threat" to the stability and peace in Northeast Asia and that it is not fulfilling its commitment before the international community.

Rodong Sinmun Thursday says in a bylined commentary in this regard:

What Burns uttered is nothing but a robber's sophism as it reminds one of a thief crying "Stop the thief!"

The U.S. warmongers had better clarify against whom huge armed forces in south Korea, Pacific Region and the U.S. mainland target before talking about "threat" from the DPRK.

Threat comes to the DPRK from the U.S.

As far as war deterrent of the DPRK is concerned, it is designed to cope with the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK to all intents and purposes. The U.S. should roll back its hostile policy before groundlessly speaking ill of the DPRK.

It is the U.S. that stages madcap nuclear war exercises against the DPRK in south Korea and its vicinity every year with huge means for preemptive nuclear strike involved.

It is again the U.S. that works hard to ignite a war on the Korean Peninsula and disturbs the peace and stability in Northeast Asia.

If a country is weak in its military muscle, it cannot but wipe tears away with its hand, belatedly, unable to deadly beat back the aggressors with its arms. This is a stark reality of the international situation brought by the U.S. imperialists.

The U.S. ceaseless threat will compel the army and people of the DPRK to redouble their efforts to cope with it and more dynamically exercise their inviolable sovereign right.
