Anniversary of CPV's Entry into Korean Front Marked
Pyongyang, October 25 (KCNA) -- DPRK newspapers Thursday dedicate articles to the 62nd anniversary of the Chinese People's Volunteers' (CPV) entry into the Korean front.

Rodong Sinmun says in a bylined article that the army and people of the DPRK are sending a warm and fraternal salute to the People's Liberation Army and people of China and paying high tribute to all the fallen fighters of the CPV on this day.

It goes on:

The CPV joined the Korean War in the period when the Korean army and people were weathering greatest difficulties during the Fatherland Liberation War.

The CPV fighters waged courageous battles against the imperialist allied forces shoulder to shoulder with the Korean People's Army.

The youth, precious lives and blood unhesitatingly devoted by the martyrs of the CPV to the victory of the Korean War were a vivid example of international friendship and militant fraternity.

The peoples of the DPRK and China created a good tradition of sharing destiny and helping and encouraging each other in the arduous and difficult struggle against foreign invaders.

The DPRK-China friendship with a long history and good tradition is a noble legacy bequeathed by the leaders of the elder generations of the two countries and valuable treasure of the two peoples.

It is the behests of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and invariable stand of the Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK government to steadily develop the friendship generation after generation.

This friendship will remain ever-green like the deep forests in Mt. Paektu thanks to the concerted efforts of the two parties and governments.

Minju Joson in a bylined article notes the history of the DPRK-China friendship will last forever.
