Fast-food Stalls Set Up in Streets of Pyongyang
Pyongyang, October 23 (KCNA) -- Fast-food stalls of peculiar style have recently appeared in streets of Pyongyang City, including Tongmun crossroads in Taedonggang District.

The stalls serve passers-by and customers with various kinds of instant food.

Ri Kyong Mi, a teacher of Pyongyang Okryu Secondary School, told KCNA:

"On my way back home from the school, I would drop in at a stall near my house, which serves such food as roast meat on skewers, toasted dumplings and steamed bread stuffed with vegetable.

Most of its customers are housewives like me, and my children and husband like dishes I bring from the stall. When I have guests in my house, I usually order some food at the stall."

Yang Myong Sim, a section chief of the Pyongyang City Public Catering Management Bureau, said:

"I am happy to see many people enjoying food at stalls. We set up different stalls according to kinds of dishes, including grill, pancake, dumpling, bread and sausage, and allocated able cooks there to improve the fast-food service.

The stalls give pleasure to citizens going home from work. We will work hard in the future to better the diet of citizens."
