Kim Jong Un Sends Message of Condolences to King of Cambodia
Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, sent a condolatory message to Norodom Sihamoni, king of Cambodia, on Oct. 15.

The message said:

Upon hearing the sad news that Great King His Majesty Norodom Sihanouk passed away, I express profound condolences to Your Majesty, and through you, to the bereaved family and the Cambodian people.

Great King His Majesty Norodom Sihanouk was the father of the Cambodian nation who devoted all his life to defending the independence and sovereignty of Cambodia and achieving reconciliation and unity of the nation and the peace and prosperity of the country. He was also the prominent international political activist who achieved great exploits for development of the non-aligned movement and the human cause of independence.

He was the close friend of the Korean people.

President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il maintained with Great King His Majesty Norodom Sihanouk the noblest and the most profound relations of obligation unprecedented in history and these relations provided an eternal foundation for relations of friendship, solidarity and cooperation between the peoples of the DPRK and Cambodia.

Though Great King His Majesty Norodom Sihanouk passed away, the noble exploits performed by him will always remain in the hearts of the peoples of the two countries and progressive mankind.
