Servicepersons Launch Another River Improvement Project
Pyongyang, October 12 (KCNA) -- Servicepersons have turned out in the project for improving the Pothong River here after finishing the Hapjang River improvement project only in seven days.

This project is nearly three times the previous one in scale, including removal of sludge and repair of embankment and structures.

Upon receiving the order of Kim Jong Un, supreme commander of the Korean People's Army (KPA), those servicepersons promptly set about the improvement project and are now working hard day and night to speed up the project.

They have already removed a large amount of sludge in two days after the start of the project.

The project site is vibrant with their militant mettle and songs.

Servicemen's families and other civilians joined the soldiers in the project, encouraging them with aid materials, dance and singing.

Kim Chol, a KPA officer, told KCNA:

"The project is vast, but we will finish it in the shortest period with the same offensive spirit as displayed during the Hapjang River improvement project."

Ri Song Nam, a non-commissioned officer, said:

"Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un entrusted us with this heavy yet honorable task.

What I have in mind is only to finish the project as early as possible and report it to the Supreme Commander."
