S. Korean Regime's Confrontation Policy under Criticism
Pyongyang, October 12 (KCNA) -- South Korean Internet paper Jaju Minbo on Oct. 5 posted a letter written by its Representative Ri Chang Gi behind bars in denunciation of the puppet regime's policy of confrontation with fellow countrymen.

Ri in his letter referred to the growing criticism of the Lee Myung Bak regime's confrontation policy.

South Koreans of different social standings and experts on south-north relations call for "the lifting of the May 24 measures", saying "the one-sided hostile policy toward the north is problematic", Ri said. Even some conservatives claim that the blocking of dialogue with the north is problematic, he said, adding:

Nevertheless, the "government" let loose sophism that it is "a policy that taught a principle" without admitting its mistakes.

Ri said the present regime can never be a dialogue partner with the north, holding it is chiefly to blame for increasing the danger of war in the West Sea of Korea and other areas.

He urged the "government" to reflect on what it has done before the people, halt at once the crackdown on the reunification movement forces that urgently call for the development of the south-north relations and release all prisoners of conscience who are in jail on charges of violation of the "Security Law".

If it refuses to do so, it will always be cursed and denounced by the whole nation and the world conscience, he warned.
