Rodong Sinmun Slams S. Korean "Government" for Bringing Inter-Korean Relations to Collapse
Pyongyang, October 12 (KCNA) -- It is possible to improve the inter-Korean relations, achieve peace of the Korean Peninsula and independently carve out the destiny of the nation only when the Lee Myung Bak group of south Korea rolls back its confrontation policy and honestly implements the north-south declarations.

Rodong Sinmun Friday says this in a bylined article.

It goes on:

The north-south relations have been driven to the lowest ebb due to the anti-reunification moves of the south Korean conservative regime.

The inter-Korean relations, which had favorably developed promoting reconciliation and cooperation, were put on such orbit of deterioration by the Lee group opposed to the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration. The "May 24 measures" taken by the Lee group under the pretext of its conspiratorial warship "Cheonan" sinking case totally blocked north-south cooperation and brought the inter-Korean relations back to those in the period before the adoption of the June 15 joint declaration.

The south Korean regime leveled guns at the fellow countrymen in the north grieving over the great loss and ceaselessly perpetrated such hideous provocations as hurting the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK, driving the inter-Korean relations into the phase where they are beyond remedy.

These relations can be brought back to a right track only when the confrontation policy of the south Korean conservative group is put to an end and the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration are respected.

The DPRK will never allow anyone pursuing confrontation, quite contrary to the implementation of the declarations, but strongly react against him.
