DPRK's Important Days Marked in India, Czech Republic
Pyongyang, October 12 (KCNA) -- Various events were held in India and the Czech Republic on Oct. 4 and 5 to mark the15th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's election as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), the 67th anniversary of the WPK and the 86th anniversary of the Down-with-Imperialism Union.

They included a seminar, book and photo exhibition and film shows in India and a lecture and book and photo exhibition in the Czech Republic.

Present at those events were figures of the Indian Youth Group for the Study of Works of Comrade Kim Il Sung, the Juche Idea Study Society of Delhi, India, the Czech Group for the Study and Materialization of the Juche Idea and the Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association and masses.

Participants in the film shows watched Korean films on the Songun leadership feats of the great men of Mt. Paektu and their noble love for the people.

Balzor Singh Chauhan, chairman of the Indian Youth Group for the Study of Works of Comrade Kim Il Sung, said in a speech that the WPK has organized and guided all victories of the Korean people.

The WPK was founded by President Kim Il Sung, founder of socialist Korea, and was developed by leader Kim Jong Il, he said, and went on:

It will display its might as a steel-strong party as it has supreme leader Kim Jong Un as its first secretary.

B.C. Gupta, chairman of the Juche Idea Study Society of Delhi, India, noted: Kim Jong Il deemed it as his motto in his life to believe in the people as in Heaven. He set the improvement of the people's living standard as the supreme principle of party activities and made energetic efforts for its implementation.

Jaroslavc Kafka, chairman of the Czech Group for the Study and Materialization of the Juche Idea, noted that the feats performed by Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in party building are a precious legacy for the world socialist movement.
