Upholding the Workers' Party of Korea's policy of educating bereaved children, the school established a commanding system of the dear respected Supreme Commander and laid a solid material and technological foundation for education. It made distinguished contributions to glorifying the undying feats of the three commanders of Mt. Paektu and training its students as reliable successors to the revolutionary cause of Juche by organizing efficient teaching and education.

A decree on awarding the order was released by the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK on Sept. 29.
