Korean Film Shows Held Abroad
Pyongyang, October 9 (KCNA) -- Korean film shows took place in Benin, Indonesia, Thailand and at the Secretariat of the Pan-African Movement on October 2 on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's election as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and the 67th anniversary of the WPK.

They were attended by public figures and masses of relevant countries and a regional organization.

The participants of the film shows watched "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation", "Party Founding Memorial Tower", "Pyongyang at Night" and other Korean films.

The rector of Cotonou Institute of Journalism of Benin who is also chief of the Benin Group for the Study of Kimilsungism and Kimjongilism said it was the plan of Kim Jong Il to build a thriving socialist nation and it has now become a goal of activities of the WPK.

All fields including education in the DPRK have greeted a heyday in their all-round development, cities and villages have turned into a socialist fairyland and a firm foundation has been laid to enable the people to fully enjoy wealth and prosperity under socialism, he noted, adding: This is ascribable to the outstanding leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

The chairman of the Benin-Korea Amicable Association "Long Live General Kim Jong Il, Supreme Leader" who is also chairman of the Benin National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea said the WPK headed by the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un would lead the DPRK to shed more brilliant rays.
