Treacherous Five Years of Lee Myung Bak Regime under Fire
Pyongyang, October 7 (KCNA) -- The south Korean internet newspaper Thongil News on Thursday carried the article titled "Five Years of Lee Myung Bak Regime, Failed Policy toward DPRK" condemning the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors for plunging the north-south relations into a complete deadlock.

The article said the Lee Myung Bak regime, which drew public criticism at the early days of its seizure of power, has paid no heed to the south-north cooperation.

The regime disrupted the economic cooperative work that had promoted the reconciliation, cooperation and trust between the south and the north. Not content with this, it totally stopped all exchanges with the north by taking "May 24 step" under the pretext of the "Cheonan" case, said the article.

The regime rashly imputed the responsibility for the case to the north and unilaterally declared confrontation with it, an insensible act, according to the article.

The article branded the five years of the Lee Myung Bak regime's seizure of power as years of betrayal which resulted in laying a hurdle in the way for the national prosperity.

The nation should pool efforts and cooperate with each other instead of inciting confrontation, the article said, adding the Lee regime's confrontation history will surely be called to account.

The article called upon the nation to turn out for the implementation of the October 4 declaration for the earlier rebuilding of the south-north ties.
