Hapjang River Improvement Project Launched in Pyongyang
Pyongyang, October 4 (KCNA) -- Servicepersons have launched a project for the improvement of the Hapjang River here.

The river is a stream flowing from Mt. Chongryong in South Phyongan Province to the Taedong River through Taesong District, Pyongyang.

The vast project includes removal of sludge, embankment improvement and repair of structures.

Those servicepersons already cleared out 75 percent of sludge in the river in two days after the start of the project by fully displaying Kim Jong Il's patriotism.

After finishing the removal of sludge from the Jangsan Bridge to the floodgate of the river, they set about its embankment project.

Despite the unfavorable conditions, they are hastening the project in an intensive way by making rational use of manpower, building equipment and other means. They carefully ensure the technical guidance over the embankment project while taking steps to repair the floodgate and other structures.

The construction site is replete with the militant stamina of the servicepersons, eager to complete the project at a stretch.

Loudspeaker cars air songs to encourage the servicepersons to speed up the project, part of the nature-remaking work aimed to carry into practice respected Marshal Kim Jong Un's grand plan for turning the mountains and rivers of the country more beautiful.
