Rehabilitation from Flood Damage at Height in Komdok Area
Pyongyang, October 4 (KCNA) -- A dynamic drive is going on in Komdok area to recover from flood damage.

The construction of the dwelling houses is making headway thanks to the efforts of service personnel and people. Roads extending about hundred of kilometers and Paekgumsan-Kumgol railway tracks have been repaired and lots of production processes restarted their operation.

Soldiers of the Korean People's Army cleared the Tanchon-Komdok road of huge amount of earth and piles of stones, enlarging the width of road, and mended dozens of bridges.

Workers of the Ministry of Railways and its affiliated bureaus have channeled efforts into the structural projects including fortifying roadbeds, replacing rails and sleepers and building revetment in the spirit with which they brought the Tanchon-Paekgumsan railway tracks to normal service. They made such a great achievement as passing the train on the Paekgumsan-Kumgol railroad lines.

The construction of walls of houses for 300 families in Kumgol has been finished and the construction of hundreds of houses is making rapid progress in Taehung.

In Ryongyang Mine area the construction of over 50 houses has already been completed.

The overall production processes have been rehabilitated by people of Komdok and several pits went operational for mineral production.

The seriously damaged ore carrier in Ryongyang Mine has been repaired and equipment are being run in Kumsan Pit and other faces of the mine.

Light Burning Shop No. 2 under the magnesia clinker branch and other units of Taehung Youth Hero Mine restarted production.
