Sexual Abuses Rampant in S. Korean Puppet Army
Pyongyang, October 3 (KCNA) -- Cases of sexual abuses in the south Korean puppet army is on the annual increase under the Lee Myung Bak regime, sparking social uproar, according to south Korean Yonhap News on Oct. 1.

Officers and men of the army are committing sexual abuses not only against women in the army but against youngsters, children and even against handicapped women.

The number of sexual abusers increased year by year. At least 140 more service members committed such crimes in 2011 than 2009.

But the punishment of those criminals has become less severe while the number of the cases left without prosecution rose 59.8 percent in 2011 as against 58.1 per cent in 2009.

The rate of dropped cases increased more than 61 percent in the first half of this year.

It was disclosed that there was a high rate of the officers going unpunished even after perpetrating such crimes.

Voices denouncing such despicable crimes among service personnel are growing stronger among south Koreans from all walks of life.
