S. Korean Regime Accused of Shunning Issue of Japan's Settlement of Its Past Crimes
Pyongyang, October 2 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Kyunghyang Daily News on Sept. 24 in an editorial accused the puppet regime of turning its face away from the issue of sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army.

The editorial recalled that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade did not mention the sexual slavery enforced by the Imperial Japanese Army in its draft speech at the UN General Assembly session.

This was prompted by the "government's" intention to avoid any friction with Japan in pursuance of its political objective, it said, and continued:

The regime should urge Japan to redeem its past crimes as early as possible and should not shun this issue.

It should discard its passive attitude and opt for positive actions for the settlement of the issue of sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army.
