Bangladeshi, Nepalese Figures Release Statements on Anniversary of Publication of October 4 Declaration
Pyongyang, October 2 (KCNA) -- Bangladeshi and Nepalese figures released statements on Sept. 26 on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the historic October 4 declaration.

Garib Newaz, president of the Bangladesh People's League, said that October 4 will mark the 5th anniversary of the historic October 4 declaration.

The declaration, along with the June 15 joint declaration, serves as a great joint programme for reunification and a patriotic banner to be held high by all Koreans in their struggle for the independent and peaceful reunification of the country, he noted, adding:

The declaration is a banner of independent reunification which confirmed once again the idea of "By our nation itself" the validity and vitality of which have been clearly proved through the June 15 era of reunification.

The Korean nation will usher in a new era of independent reunification, peace and prosperity only when it does everything as indicated by the declaration.

Manik Lal Shrestha, chairman of the Nepalese Committee for Supporting the Reunification of Korea, said:

The present south Korean authorities are stepping up their hostile policy toward the DPRK and committing military provocations against it in total denial of the October 4 declaration, driving the situation to the brink of a war.

It is clear to everyone what is source of the tense situation on the Korean Peninsula.

We demand the U.S. and south Korean authorities stop their actions against the desire of all Koreans for peace and reunification of the country.
