Korean Book, Photo Exhibitions Open in Russia, Peru
Pyongyang, September 28 (KCNA) -- Korean book, photo and handicraft exhibitions opened in Russia and Peru on Sept. 20 and 21 in the run-up to the 15th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's election as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, the 67th anniversary of the WPK and the 86th anniversary of the Down-with-Imperialism Union.

Displayed in the venues of the exhibitions were photos on the brilliant revolutionary careers of President Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and the dear respected Kim Jong Un and their undying exploits.

Also displayed there were works of the peerlessly great men, books and photos on Songun Korea and handicrafts reflecting the wisdom and skills of the Korean people.

Personages of different social standings and people in relevant countries attended the opening ceremony.

Officials of the DPRK missions were present there on invitation.

The director of the Cultural Department of the Magadan Regional Government of Russia said the exhibition opened in Magadan City at a time when the friendly and cooperative relations between Russia and the DPRK are growing stronger would provide many Russians with an opportunity to know better about the DPRK.

The acting governor of the Magdalena del Mar District in Lima City, Peru said:

Korea boasts 5 000-year-long history and brilliant culture.

The exhibition will offer Peruvians an important opportunity to see the picture of the DPRK developing as the days go by, true to the leadership of Kim Jong Un who is upholding the intentions of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

The governor expressed hope that the friendly ties between Peru and the DPRK would grow stronger.
