Int'l Film Festival Closes
Pyongyang, September 27 (KCNA) --The 13th Pyongyang International Film Festival was closed with due ceremony at the East Pyongyang Grand Theater on Thursday. The festival was opened on Sept. 20.

Present there were Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, Kim Yong Jin, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Hong Kwang Sun, minister of Culture who is chairman of the Festival Organizing Committee, and other officials concerned, playwrights and artistes in the field of film, people in the city, foreign delegations and delegates and international jury.

Foreign diplomatic envoys, embassy officials and members of missions of international organizations here were present there on invitation.

At the closing ceremony, the results announced by the jury on films presented in the festival were given and prizes were awarded.

A letter to the dear respected Kim Jong Un from the participants in the festival was adopted.

Hong Kwang Sun said in his closing speech that films of various themes such as the dignity and prosperity of the nation and the worth happiness of life screened at the festival.

Hong expressed conviction that the participants would adhere to the idea of independence, peace and friendship and make contributions to developing progressive cinema arts.
