Chinese Ambassador to DPRK Gives Reception
Pyongyang, September 27 (KCNA) -- Chinese Ambassador to the DPRK Liu Hongcai gave a reception at Okryu Restaurant Thursday to mark the 63rd anniversary of the People's Republic of China.

Present there on invitation were Foreign Minister Pak Ui Chun, Vice-department Director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea Kim Song Nam, officials concerned, foreign diplomatic envoys and representatives of international organizations here.

Liu Hongcai said in a speech made at the reception that the Communist Party of China founded a new China 63 years ago by leading the people to victory in revolution, ushering in a new era in China's history.

He said he was pleased at the fact that the dear respected Kim Jong Un has made great achievements in developing the economy, improving the people's standard of living and other fields by leading the party, the army and the people, true to the behests of leader Kim Jong Il.

Hong expressed willingness to make efforts to give welfare to the two peoples by boosting cooperation in different fields in the spirit of "inheriting the tradition, facing up to the future, building good-neighborly friendship and strengthening cooperation" and putting the Sino-DPRK friendly relations onto a new phase together with the Korean comrades.

Pak Ui Chun said that the founding of PRC was a historic event that brought about a fundamental turn in the struggle of the Chinese people for carving out their destiny independently and creatively.

Over the past 63 years the Chinese people have strived hard to build a prosperous socialist state and thus brought about changes in all fabrics of social life, he noted.

He hoped that the fraternal Chinese people would achieve greater success in their efforts to build a comprehensively well-off socialist society based on the scientific outlook on development under the leadership of the Communist Party of China led by General Secretary Hu Jintao and significantly greet the 18th Congress of the Party.
