31st Yun I Sang Concert Opens
Pyongyang, September 27 (KCNA) -- The 31st Yun I Sang concert was opened.

The concert, an annual event in Pyongyang, marks an occasion of instilling confidence in national reconciliation and unity and national reunification into all Koreans.

An opening concert took place at the Yun I Sang Concert Hall on Thursday.

Among the audience were officials concerned, creators and artistes of art organizations here, working people in Pyongyang and overseas Koreans.

Vice-Minister of Culture Han Chol said in his speech the concert would help stir up the desire of compatriots for reunification.

It began with female solo "Forest Is Swaying". Put on the stage were such numbers as "Yungdan" for stringed instruments and first chamber symphony and Tchaikovsky's "Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture," etc.

The concert was acclaimed by the audience for its successful representation of themes of music pieces through refined rendition.

The concert will last till Saturday.
