Reception Given to Celebrate Birthday of PRC
Pyongyang, September 26 (KCNA) -- The Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries and the Central Committee of the DPRK-China Friendship Association Wednesday hosted a reception at Chongryu Restaurant in the run-up to the 63rd birthday of the People's Republic of China (PRC).

Present there on invitation were Ambassador Liu Hongcai and staff members of the Chinese embassy here.

Among those present at the reception were Minister of Public Health Choe Chang Sik who is chairman of the C.C., the DPRK-China Friendship Association, Kim Jin Bom, vice-chairman of the Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries and officials concerned.

Choe Chang Sik said in his speech at the reception that the founding of the PRC marked a historic event which brought about a radical turn in the life of the Chinese people.

He referred to the fact that the Chinese people have achieved big successes in the efforts to build a comprehensively well-off socialist society under the leadership of the Communist Party of China with Hu Jintao as its general secretary.

The government of the DPRK will glorify forever the immortal exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il for the development of the DPRK-China friendship and make efforts to boost the traditional friendly and cooperative relations as intended by the top leaders of the two countries, he stressed.

Ambassador Liu Hongcai said the foundation of the People's Republic of China end the history of subordination and suppression of the people and made them real masters of the state.

He said he was pleased about the fact that the economy is developing and the people's life is improving in the DPRK under the leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

He said they would deepen the exchange and cooperation in every field in the joint efforts with the Korean comrades in line of the agreement made by the supreme leaders of the two countries and common desire.
