Osaka Mayor's Remarks to Hide Sexual Slavery under Fire
Pyongyang, September 26 (KCNA) -- Civic bodies in Japan on Sept. 23 held a meeting in Osaka in denunciation of the city mayor's reckless remarks to cover up the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army.

The mayor in a news interview on Aug. 21 said there is no evidence proving that comfort women were taken by the Imperial Japanese Army in a violent and coercive manner. He said if there took place such practice, it needed evidence to prove it and it was necessary to conduct an argument about it.

The participants in the meeting bitterly condemned the shameless remarks made by the mayor refusing to admit the sexual slavery in the past.

Kim Pok Dong, a south Korean victim of the sexual slavery, shouted "I am a witness", bitterly condemning the Japanese imperialists for imposing untold misfortune and sufferings on great many Korean women after forcing them into sexual slavery.
