At this expo the Committee arranged a DPRK pavilion and displayed there potted Kimilsungias and Kimjongilias with photos of top and gold prizes those immortal flowers won at the World Horticultural Expos and international flower shows.

It is the first time for the DPRK to attend the World Horticultural Expo in Europe.

The pavilion is witnessing more than 10 000 visitors each day. They have unanimously expressed great admiration at the red-colored Kimjongilia in full bloom.

The jury of the expo praised Kimjongilia as the king of flowers, the most famous flower in the world.

The chairperson of the Horticultural Association of the Netherlands, speaking at an event of 'Day of DPRK' on September 11, earnestly congratulated the DPRK delegation for its participation in the expo with the famous flowers Kimilsungia and Kimjongilia and for the fact that Kimjongilia won the first prize at the international horticultural contest in the expo.

The president of the International Association of Horticultural Producers noted at the prize-awarding ceremony that Kimilsungia and Kimjongilia won top prizes in the World Horticultural Expo held in Xi'an, China last year. Kimjongilia won the top prize again at the current expo, and this shows Kimjongilia's invariable status in the world's horticulture, the president stressed.

The expo will run until October 7.
