Crew of Chinese Ship Rescue Korean Fishermen
Pyongyang, September 22 (KCNA) -- A few days ago, crew members of a Chinese ship belonging to a fishery group of Shandong Province of China rescued Korean fishermen aboard a drifting ship.

They were engaged in fishing in waters off Tanchon of South Hamgyong Province. But an unexpected engine trouble and strong wind and sea storm forced their boat to go adrift.

Three fishermen were aboard the boat.

It was at about 18:00 on Sept. 16 that the boat was spotted.

It was discovered by the Chinese ship which was sailing towards waters off Rason to take shelter after receiving an alarm signal during its joint fishing operation in waters off Hungnam.

Veering its ship, the Chinese crew rescued all the Korean fishermen.

The Chinese crew made sincere efforts to provide every convenience to the Korean fishermen.

The Chinese ship arrived in waters off Rason at about 10 a.m. on Sept. 17. and officials concerned warmly welcomed the fisherman.

The deed displayed by the crew of the Chinese ship is an expression of the noble sense of moral obligation cherished by the peoples of the DPRK and China.
