Putin Urges Russia to Increase Defense Capability

Moscow, September 21 (KCNA) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin recently urged Russia to increase its defense capability amid the "growing use of force in the international affairs." He said this before the soldiers who performed meritorious deeds in the Kavkaz-2012 strategic drills.

Putin expressed the stand of his government to steadily step up the work for equipping Russia's armed forces with modern and technological military hardware.

Saying that the military service is always being regarded as honorable one, he called for loving the country and undergoing the military service well just like those who devotedly defended their country during the fiercest period.
