Oath Made by Kim Jong Suk in Chechangzi Guerrilla Zone
Pyongyang, September 21 (KCNA) -- It was in the Chechangzi guerrilla zone on September 18, Juche 24 (1935) that Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese war hero, joined the Korean People's Revolutionary Army commanded by President Kim Il Sung.

Upon receiving a rifle, she took an oath to remain intensely loyal to Kim Il Sung with the weapon associated with blood of martyrs and people's desire for national liberation. And she said that she would regard the rifle as valuable as a hundred ones and consider one bullet as a hundred bullets in fighting with the enemy. The day was the beginning of her career as an anti-Japanese war hero.

On the day, Kim Jong Suk declared that she would not lay down arms until the victory of the revolution and, with the rifle on her shoulder, would return in triumph to the homeland together with Kim Il Sung.

True to this oath, she creditably aided the President with arms all her life, making distinguished contributions to winning victory in the anti-Japanese war and building a new Korea.
