Typhoon-16 Affects DPRK

| Pyongyang, September 17 (KCNA) -- The east coastal area and some parts of Ryanggang, North and South Hwanghae provinces in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea have experienced strong wind and rainfall since this morning, affected by the typhoon-16. It has rained in all areas of Kangwon Province, with winds of 10 to 13 meters per second in Kosong County and Kaesong City. The typhoon, located at 34.9 degrees north latitude and 128 degrees east longitude at 12:00, is moving northward at a speed of 36 kilometers per hour. With 965 hPa in the center, it has a maximum wind speed of 35 meters per second. |
