Withdrawal of U.S. Forces from South Korea Demanded by Bangladeshi Figures
Pyongyang, September 16 (KCNA) -- Bangladeshi figures in their statements issued on Sep. 9 and 10 demanded the U.S. forces pull out of south Korea.

Garib Newaz, president of the Bangladesh People's League, said:

The bitter history of the division of the Korean nation began because of the US forces' occupation of south Korea.

They are a hotbed of a war on the Korean Peninsula and the root cause of threatening the peace in Northeast Asia and in the rest of the world.

The pullback of the U.S. forces from south Korea would help bring about a decisively favorable phase for peace and security on the Korean peninsula and in Northeast Asia.

The U.S. should no longer insist on its forces' presence in south Korea and stick to its hostile policy toward the DPRK.

We will always extend full support and solidarity to the Korean people in their just struggle.

M.Jahangir Khan, chairman of the Bangladesh Group for the Study of the Songun Policy, said that the Korean people have been forced to under the tragedy and disgrace of national split for more than half a century due to the U.S. forces' presence in south Korea.

He went on:

The U.S. continued military presence in south Korea quite contrary to the trend of the times only betrays its invariable ambition for aggression.

Not only peace and reunification of the Korean peninsula but peace and security in Northeast Asia are unthinkable as long as the US forces are present in south Korea.

The U.S. should pull back its aggressor forces from south Korea at an early date and stop its moves to invade the DPRK at once.
