U.S. Forces' Inchon Landing Postponed for Three Days in Korean War
Pyongyang, September 15 (KCNA) -- The south Korean military forces on Saturday are representing in waters off Wolmi Island the Inchon landing operation, which was conducted by the U.S. imperialist troops during the Korean War (1950-1953).

In this regard Ju Song Chol, a researcher at the History Institute under the Academy of Social Sciences, told KCNA:

This is a farce that can be orchestrated only by the pro-American sycophants.

The Inchon landing operation, praised by the U.S. and the south Korean regime as something like Normandy operation, was a completely failed one in the military point of view.

The U.S. hurled into the operation hundreds of battleships, about 1 000 warplanes and over 50 000 troops, in a bid to stamp out the main forces of the Korean People's Army. But, the landing was deterred for three days by a KPA coastal artillery company on Wolmi Island, making them take 14 days to reach Seoul.

The Western media, too, viewed the operation as a failed one in comparison with the forces mobilized in it.

After the operation, which the south Korean regime praised as one for "national salvation", the U.S. troops killed over 1 300 citizens in Inchon City only in a day, September 16, 1950. Earlier, when they were fleeing southward, attacked by the KPA, they murdered more than 5 000 innocent people in the city.

Prior to the landing, the commander of the U.N. Forces, MacArthur, instructed the U.S. soldiers to take girls and women as their own when they seized Seoul.

The New York Times, published in August 2008, disclosed that 43 U.S. fighters dropped 93 napalm bombs on Wolmi Island on September 10, 1950, leaving scores of civilians dead.

The former attorney general of the U.S. Department of Justice, Ramsey Clark, who was head of an international fact-finding group on GIs' massacres, revealed that the U.S. troops' murder of Koreans became more rampant after their landing in Inchon.

Such being the facts, the pro-American sycophants set up the statue of MacArthur in south Korea in appreciation of his "feats" in the operation, which deserves to be punished by the entire Korean nation.
