Relief Aid Directed to Komdok Area to Help Recover from Flood Damage
Pyongyang, September 13 (KCNA) -- Relief aid has been concentrated on the Komdok area from across the country to help recover from flood damage.

The Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, the Secretariat of the Cabinet, the Ministry of Coal Industry, the Ministry of Mining Industry, the Ministry of Land and Marine Transport and other ministries and national institutions have preferentially sent materials urgently needed for the living including foodstuff, household articles and clothes to the flood-stricken inhabitants.

Officials and other people in South Hamgyong Province sent edible oil, non-staple foods and daily necessities to the afflicted areas.

Those in Pyongyang, North Hamgyong, Kangwon, Jagang provinces and Rason City sent sanitary articles, underwear, notebooks, etc.

Service personnel of the Korean People's Army and their families and employees who have been engaged in the rehabilitation campaign called at inhabitants carrying with them kitchen utensils and basic foodstuff for 400 families.

Meanwhile, the Sunchon Cement Complex, Chollima Steel Complex, Pyongyang 326 Electric Wire Factory and other industrial establishments have directed primary efforts into ensuring the provision of materials needed for rehabilitation projects.
