DPRK Birthday Marked in Various Countries
Pyongyang, September 12 (KCNA) -- Diverse events took place in various countries on the 64th anniversary of the DPRK.

They included meetings and film shows in Benin, Mongolia, Austria and Denmark and opening ceremonies of the Korean book, photo and handicraft exhibitions in Russia, Bulgaria, Romania and Guinea from Sept. 3 to 5.

Displayed in the venues of the events were photos on the revolutionary careers and exploits of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

Also on display were works of the peerlessly great men, books and photos introducing Songun Korea and handicrafts associated with the creative wisdom of Koreans.

The Korean films shown included "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation" and "Pyongyang Today".

Ali Houdou, president of the Socialist Party of Benin, E. Maksim, executive chairperson of the Mongolian Mt. Paektu Association for Independent Development, Anders Kristensen, chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association, and deputy mayor of Aleksandrov City of Moscow Region referred to the more than six decade-long history of the DPRK in which it has won victories only.

They said the DPRK would further prosper as it is led by Kim Jong Un who carries forward the idea and cause of the preceding leaders.

Messages to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the meetings.
