Greetings to Kim Jong Un from Nigerian President
Pyongyang, September 11 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, received a message of greeting from Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, president and commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, on Sept. 6.

The message said that he had the pleasure and privilege to extend on behalf of the Nigerian government and people and on his own behalf congratulations to Kim Jong Un, the DPRK government and people on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of the DPRK.

It is our belief that the preceding leaders of your country would be also pleased with the great feats performed by Your Excellency during your field guidance to all fields of the country and would like to warmly congratulate you on them, the message said, and continued:

Please accept our congratulations on your efforts to achieve peace on the Korean Peninsula with your broad magnanimity and patience.

We are pleased that Your Excellency are developing relations with the international community, with your neighboring countries in particular.

We deeply admire all energies you have devoted to modernizing your country despite sanctions and difficulties.

I would like to assure Your Excellency that we have common points in the ideas and reiterate the invariable stand of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to steadily develop the friendly and cooperative relations with the DPRK.

Please accept, Your Excellency, our hope for happy celebration of the anniversary and our best wishes.
