The revolutionary opera "The Flower Girl" was staged at Pyongyang Grand Theatre.

It helped the audience keenly realize the undying feats performed by the peerlessly great persons who put an end to the miserable history of the nation by arousing the oppressed and maltreated people and built an invincible socialist power, a country dignified with Songun and powerful with independence.

At People's Theatre the audience enjoyed the performance given by the National Symphony Orchestra.

The orchestra made the truthful portrayal of the boundless reverence of the people for the great Generalissimos in orchestral music "Song Devoted to Marshal Kim Il Sung", "Thunder over Jong Il Peak" and symphonic suite "O Korea, I Will Add Glory to Thee", an immortal classic masterpiece, and other numbers.

The artistes of the symphony orchestra of Yun I Sang Music Institute put on the stage various songs associated with the dignity and pride of the Korean people. They included orchestral music "We Live in the Embrace of the Leader", female low-pitched solo "The Party Is Our Mother".

The performance of light comedy "An Echo among the Hills" was given at the National Theatre.

The performers of the art squad of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League presented female solo "Golden Cushion", men's guitar ensemble "Campfire, Flare Up", agitation and mixed chorus "Fly High, Our Party Flag" and other numbers at the plaza of the Arch of Triumph, exciting the audience.

Acrobats of Pyongyang Circus Theatre and Pothonggang Circus Theatre gave pleasure to people on the national day with such numbers as physical acrobatics "Flying Girls" and "Horizontal Bar and Swing", acrobatics on the ice "Young Persons on the Ice-rink", comedy acrobatics "Punishment" and animal stunt "Dogs Passing Rings".

Art performances were also given in various places including North Hamgyong, Kangwon and North Phyongan Provinces.
