People's Revolutionary Government Established in Guerrilla Zone
Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- On the anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (September 9), its people are recollecting the feats President Kim Il Sung performed for building the people's revolutionary government during the anti-Japanese armed struggle.

In the early 1930s, the Soviet enthusiasm swept the guerrilla zones in East Manchuria. Their inhabitants were complaining about the Soviet policy pursued in the zones.

Out of judgment that the Soviet line was inappropriate to the Koreans, Kim Il Sung pondered over a new line to solve the issue of political power.

He came to a conclusion that what the popular masses wanted was to do farming in their own land and make their sons and daughters study free of charge and that what the practice of the Korean revolution required was to closely rally all Koreans standing against the Japanese imperialist aggressors.

Then he decided to establish a people's power meeting such demands in the guerrilla zones and call it the people's revolutionary government.

In line with his new line, the people's revolutionary government, the first of its kind in the country, appeared and expanded in all guerrilla zones.

The DPRK was founded on the basis of this line.
