Rodong Sinmun Denounces Park Chung-Hee's Pro-Japanese Treachery
Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- A Manchurian paper issued in 1939 was recently found at the library of the Japanese Diet.

According to it, traitor Park Chung-Hee of south Korea wrote in his own blood an oath of loyalty to Japan and submitted it together with a letter in a bid to join in the puppet Manchurian army as an officer.

The oath said "Park Chung-Hee will remain loyal at one death". In his letter he even called Japan his "homeland", taking an oath to be "faithful to it at the risk of life."

This disclosed the despicable true colors of the "yusin" dictator as a traitor who had been engaged in pro-Japanese acts of treachery, kowtowing to Japanese imperialism, Rodong Sinmun Sunday says in a bylined commentary.

The commentary goes on:

There were not a few pro-Japanese lackeys in the period of the Japanese colonial rule over Korea but never has there been such a heinous and disgusting traitor as Park who had been hell-bent on pro-Japanese acts of treachery by writing even an oath in blood.

This thrice-cursed traitor ruled south Korea for 18 odd years, indeed a tragedy of history and a shame to the nation.

What arouses serious concerns is a shocking attempt now taking shape in south Korea to whitewash the pro-Japanese acts of traitor Park and his "yusin" dictatorship.

This act of distorting the history and painting traitorous act as a patriotic one is an intolerable mockery and blasphemy to the Korean people who were once trampled down by Japanese imperialism and to lots of south Korean people who fell down shedding blood by the "yusin" dictatorship.

The descendents of "yusin" are zealously praising traitor Park Chung-Hee. Its purpose is to highlight his "feats of industrialization" and prolong the conservative regime.

The crimes of yusin "dictatorship" should be punished through generations and the south Korean "Saenuri Party", intent on realizing its ambition for staying in power by covering the dictator's crimes, will never be able to escape the severe public punishment.
