DPRK, Patriotic Heritage of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il: Papers
Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- Papers here Sunday editorially mark the 64th anniversary of the DPRK.

Rodong Sinmun says it was thanks to the foundation of the DPRK on Sept. 9, 1948 that it could emerge as an independent and sovereign state in the international arena, providing a power-backed guarantee for life, destiny and prosperity of Korean people for all ages.

The DPRK is a lifetime legacy bequeathed by President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il out of patriotism, the paper notes, and goes on:

The President founded the DPRK and blazed a trail of building a socialist state for decades, performing undying feats to be shining long in the history of the country.

His Juche-oriented idea and line of nation-building turned the DPRK into a socialist power, independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence, and his seasoned and tested leadership ushered in a new history of world-startling changes unknown in the nation's history.

It was steadfast will of Kim Jong Il to glorify the DPRK as a dignified thriving socialist nation, true to the patriotic cause of the President.

The destiny of the socialist country has been firmly protected and a solid foundation laid for building a thriving nation thanks to the indomitable Songun revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Il.

It is iron will of the dear respected Kim Jong Un to glorify the DPRK in the world, remaining loyal to the cause of building a rich and powerful country pioneered and advanced by the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

Minju Joson says that the socialist country is the most valuable legacy bequeathed by Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il out of patriotism, stressing the DPRK is demonstrating its might as a socialist power of Juche with invincible might under the leadership of Kim Jong Un.
