Brazilian Ambassador to DPRK Hosts Reception
Pyongyang, September 7 (KCNA) -- Brazilian Ambassador to the DPRK Roberto Colin hosted a reception at the Taedonggang Diplomatic Corps Club on Friday on the occasion of the 190th independence day of Brazil.

Present there on invitation were DPRK Foreign Minister Pak Ui Chun, Pak Kun Gwang, vice department director of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Hyong Jun, vice foreign minister, Jong Jin Song, vice-chairman of the Commission for Joint Venture and Investment, So Ho Won, vice-chairman of the Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries who is chairman of the DPRK-Brazil Friendship and Culture Association, and other officials concerned and diplomatic envoys of various countries and representatives of international organizations here.

Staff members of the Brazilian embassy were present there.

Roberto Colin said in his speech that it is the stand of Brazil to boost the bilateral cooperative relations with the DPRK.

Noting that ceaseless confrontation policies towards the DPRK are very harmful to the peace in the region and other parts of the world, he said measures are necessary for settling them.

He hoped the Korean people would register great achievements in socio-economic development under the leadership of the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Pak Ui Chun said the DPRK and Brazil have supported and cooperated with each other since they forged friendly ties.

Visits of delegations at different levels are brisk between the two countries in the recent years and they have supported each other in the international arena, he noted, and continued:

The DPRK will set store by the friendship with Brazil and make positive efforts to boost the cooperative relations with it in the future, too.
