Ullim Falls
Pyongyang, September 7 (KCNA) -- Ullim Falls is one of the tourist destinations in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

The 75-meter-high falls is located in deep mountains in Chonnae County, Kangwon Province.

It is breathtaking to see it cascading from a precipitous cliff.

The falls hit a rock in the halfway and divides into twin falls at the height of 45 meters, making thunderous sound echo as far as four kilometers around.

Surrounded by a slew of peaks, it is redolent of unrolling of white silk clothes in distant sight.

The falls is originated from ranges of Masik Pass, with 20 to 25 cubic meters of water volume per second.

At the bottom of the falls, there is a pond, 1.5 meters deep and 30 meters in radius, inhabited with minnow, rainbow trout and other species of fishes.

A sightseeing path, spillway, meal site and car park were built in the area of the falls.

Leader Kim Jong Il in his lifetime suggested turning the falls into a tourist destination.
