Kim Jong Un's Speech Given Wide Publicity by Foreign Media
Pyongyang, September 4 (KCNA) -- The news that Kim Jong Un, supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, was present at the banquet given to celebrate August 25, the 52nd anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of the Songun revolutionary leadership, and made a speech there was given wide publicity by foreign media between August 26 and 29.

Phoenix Satellite TV Holdings LTD., Hong Kong, China noted:

Kim Jong Un said that it is the steadfast determination and will of the Workers' Party of Korea to defend the security of the country and the gains of revolution and build a reunified thriving nation, more tightly holding the arms of Songun provided by Kim Jong Il with much effort while leading the Songun revolution all his life.

Kim Jong Un went to the forefront units of the southwestern sector of the front and issued an order to the whole army that it should keep itself highly alerted and watch with high vigilance the reckless moves of the enemies and if they fire even a single shell on the inviolable territory and territorial waters of the DPRK, it should deal prompt deadly counter-blows at them and turn out as one to lead the battle to an all-out counterattack for achieving the great cause of national reunification. He examined and finally signed the operation plan for implementing it.

The Brazilian Committee for Solidarity with the DPRK in its Internet homepage said: Kim Jong Un said he renews the resolution to invariably take the road of Songun traversed by Kim Jong Il, calling on the army and people to hold more tightly the arms of the revolution in protection of happiness and safety of the people and the dignity of the great Paektusan nation.
