Ro Su Hui's Visit to Pyongyang Is Not Guilty: S. Korean Figure
Pyongyang, September 2 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Internet paper Thongil News posted an article titled "Mourner's visit to the north is not guilty" contributed by Kwon O Hon, honorary chairman of the Association for Supporting Prisoners of Conscience of the Family Movement for Realizing Democracy on August 28.

The article said: The prosecution arrested Ro Su Hui, vice-chairman of the South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification (Pomminryon), for visiting Pyongyang to attend the commemorations of the 100th day since the demise of Chairman of the National Defence Commission Kim Jong Il and detained and prosecuted Won Jin Uk, secretary general of the headquarters on charge of the violation of the draconic "Security Law."

The authorities' unethical human rights abuses and brutal crackdown upon the South Headquarters of Pomminryon standing in van of the reunification movement are a natural product of their moves to escalate the confrontation with compatriots, it noted, and continued:

Ro's visit to Pyongyang to express condolences over the great loss to the nation can never be considered as a crime as it was a righteous deed to fulfill his duty in response to the desire and will of all Koreans for peace and independent reunification of the country and their patriotic call.

The article urged the authorities to unconditionally release the unreasonably arrested members of the headquarters and abolish at once the SL, a law against reunification and human rights.
