Kim Jong Un Guides Concert of Female Brass Band of KPISF
Pyongyang, September 1 (KCNA) -- Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, guided the concert of the female brass band of the Korean People's Internal Security Forces (KPISF).

He, together with his wife Ri Sol Ju, appeared in auditorium.

There was a ceremony of the band entry, depicting the star of Marshal to the tune of song "Look at Us."

The concert began with wind music "Let Our Party Flag Flutter Vigorously" and "Glory to Our Great Party."

Put on the stage were trumpet solo "We Will Follow You Single-mindedly", brass music "Our Leader Loved by People", brass quartet "General on a Galloping White Horse", trombone solo "The Country I Am Defending", wartime serial songs "Song of National Defence", "A Soldier and a Girl", "Advance", "At the Spring Site", "Song of Mother" and "Nobody Knows", brass music "Long Live Generalissimo Kim Il Sung" and "Song of Thanks" and brass music and rhythm "Let Youth Run Like Express Train."

The performers successfully represented the great pride and self-esteem of the servicepersons of the KPISF who live and struggle as revolutionary soldiers of the party and leader and protectors of people and powerfully demonstrated the might of the KPISF reliably defending the gains of the socialist country and the security of the people, standing guard over the outpost of the class struggle.

The concert, a combination of well-organized change of formation and dynamic and peculiar rhythms, successfully presented refined rendition ability.

He waved back to the performers, congratulating them on their success in the concert.

He appreciated their laudable merits, saying they powerfully encouraged the service personnel and people in the struggle to defend the socialist country and drive for building a rich and powerful country and successfully ensured important events in the past.

The combination of brass band music with artistic rhythm peculiar to the women's brass band is good, he noted, giving an instruction to create diverse and attractive rhythms as it is popular among people. He called on the creators and musicians of the band not to forget the nature of revolutionary military band in their playing including music composition and arrangement to suit its mission and characteristic feature.

He said that they should intensify their performing activities while pooling their wisdom and efforts to improve their skills and thus creditably perform their duty as the band grown up under the care of leader Kim Jong Il.

He expressed great expectation and belief that the creators and musicians of the band would more loudly and dynamically play revolutionary military music to arouse all the servicepersons and people to accomplish the Songun revolutionary cause of the Party.

Among the audience were Choe Ryong Hae, Kim Kyong Hui, Jang Song Thaek, Kim Ki Nam, Kim Yang Gon, Kim Yong Il, Mun Kyong Dok, Han Kwang Bok, Han Kwang Sang, Kim Kyong Ok, Ri Ryong Ha, Pak Thae Song, Kim Pyong Ho and Ma Won Chun.
