Western Areas of DPRK Suffer from Typhoon-15
Pyongyang, August 28 (KCNA) -- Western Areas of the DPRK are suffering from typhoon-15.

According to an initial survey, some 450 roadside trees fell down by strong wind in South Hwanghae Province.

The typhoon cut off power lines in Haeju, suspending electricity supply to factories and dwelling houses in the city.

It carried away a 200-square-meter roof of a facility of Ryesonggang Power Station No. 6.

Many hectares of farmland were seriously affected by the typhoon in the province, making it hard to expect harvest.

In North Hwanghae Province, the typhoon has toppled more than 300 roadside trees in the Sariwon City section of the Pyongyang-Kaesong Expressway, causing suspension of road traffic.

It cut off power lines in Kaesong City, leading to a power failure in the city.

Damages from the typhoon are likely to get more serious.
