A Pyongyang citizen, Jang Il Hyok, 50, told KCNA:

"Marshal Kim Jong Un's speech was great. I felt refreshed to hear the speech. It renewed my conviction that we will always emerge victorious. It must strike terror into the hearts of the U.S. imperialists and south Korean warmongers."

Jo Myong Ju, a student at Kim Hyong Jik University of Education, said:

"In his speech, Marshal Kim Jong Un called for holding the arms of revolution more tightly to protect the people's happiness and safety and the dignity of the power of Mt. Paektu.

I petitioned to be allowed to join the KPA, pledging myself to dedicate my youthful life to defending the country.
