Youth Delegates Visit Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Memorial Tower
Pyongyang, August 27 (KCNA) -- Delegates of the Korean People's Army (KPA) and the Korean Youth League in Japan, who are participating in the celebrations for the Youth Day (Aug. 28), visited the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Memorial Tower on Saturday.

Being briefed on the memorial tower, they expressed admiration at the massive heroism displayed by the servicepersons and civilians during the Fatherland Liberation War (1950-1953), true to the leadership of Generalissimo Kim Il Sung.

A KPA soldier, Kim Kwang Myong, told KCNA:

"We cherish deep in our minds the spirit displayed by the heroic soldiers in defeating the U.S. invaders in the Fatherland Liberation War, faithful to the illustrious guidance of President Kim Il Sung.

I will stand in the van in remaining loyal to the Songun (military-first) leadership of respected Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un."

Another soldier, Kim Hyok Jin, said:

"I was deeply impressed by the guide's explanation. The soldiers of the elder generation taught us how we should live for the country.

The KPA soldiers risked their lives in battles in the Fatherland Liberation War.

The U.S. and the south Korean regime have kicked off war exercises against the DPRK.

If they dare provoke us, we, soldiers on Mu Islet, will launch a powerful retaliatory strike at them and lead it to a sacred war for national reunification, as ordered by Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un."

Kim Song Jin, a delegate of the Korean Youth League in Japan, said:

"I am very proud of myself for attending the celebrations of the Youth Day, together with youth delegates in the homeland. I will work hard, carrying forward the fighting spirit displayed by the heroes of the elder generation."
