Day of Korea's Liberation Observed by Papers of India, Uruguay
Pyongyang, August 23 (KCNA) -- Papers of India and Uruguay carried special write-ups with photos of President Kim Il Sung on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

The Indian newspaper New Delhi Times on Aug. 14 said the anti-Japanese armed struggle waged by Kim Il Sung was the legendary guerrilla struggle unprecedented in human history.

He waged a 15-year-long hard-fought guerrilla war against the Japanese imperialists under the difficult situation with neither state backing nor help from regular forces.

The guerrilla struggle waged by him produced many legends widely known to the world at that time.

The great personality of Kim Il Sung as a legendary guerrilla will always go down in history.

The August 13th issue of the Indian newspaper Indian and World Event carried an article praising the exploits performed by him for Korea's liberation.

The Uruguayan newspaper La Juventud on Aug. 14 noted that he founded the Korean People's Revolutionary Army and led to victory the anti-Japanese armed struggle with his original strategies and tactics.

The Korean people courageously turned out in the sacred war against the Japanese imperialists, looking up to him as the sun of the nation and the liberator of Korea. At last they achieved the historic cause of the nation's liberation and paved a wide avenue for building an independent and sovereign state, responsible for their own destiny, the paper said.

The exploits performed by Kim Il Sung for Korea's liberation will remain shining through centuries, concluded the paper.
